Our portfolio includes both terrestrial (green) and marine (blue) NbS, with subcategories for conservation (conserving NbS which are in danger of being degraded or lost due to human activity) and regeneration (regenerating NbS where previously they have been degraded):

Green Conservation: e.g. Deforestation avoidance

Green Regeneration: e.g. Planting trees

Blue Conservation: e.g. Seabed mining avoidance credits (SMACs)

Blue Regeneration: e.g. Coral restoration

Blue NbS generally involve a higher carbon density than Green NbS, although Green NbS have the advantage of being supported by more extensive research and data availability derived from satellite imagery.
